Top 5 Reads of Q2, 2024

After a slow first quarter of 12 books, I read 18 during this quarter, and of those, 4… yes FOUR, FIVE STAR READS! So in honor of those, I felt the need to re-share those reviews and books with you, as well as one that dangled on the edge of being 5 stars. 3 are of the same series while 2 are completely separate.

Now to the Top 5!

5.) The Blood that Burns the Winter Snow (The Bound and the Broken #0) by Ryan Cahill

“TBTBTWS (that’s a mouthful…🤭) is a peaceful, feel-good tale of family with a little razzle dazzle, of typical Cahill intensity, that always hits the spot.”

4.) Spire Climbers (Titan Hoppers #2) by Rob J. Hayes

“Spire Climbers is everything Titan Hoppers was, but even better. This was such an incredibly fun story mixed with a bit of horror to keep me glued to my seat, ready to see what was going to happen next and how the crew was going to deal with whatever they faced on the new Titan.”

3.) Howling Dark (Sun Eater Saga #2) by Christopher Ruocchio

“Howling Dark just obliterates Empire of Silence out of the water! Ruocchio’s storytelling is so intoxicating, just makes you want to never leave the book alone and constantly read it.”

2.) Kingdoms of Death (Sun Eater Saga #4) by Christopher Ruocchio

“did I love this? Absolutely! Was this a good time? Absolutely not! I would say that it was an emotional gut punch, but that falls short of what Kingdoms of Death is, try an emotional drop kick to the gut that just keeps kicking, that’s what this is.”

1.) Demon in White (Sun Eater Saga #3) by Christopher Ruocchio

“This might be one of the easiest five stars I’ve given to date, Demon in White is a masterpiece chonker that is an out of this world scintillating throat punch of a good time, can a throat punch be a good time? It is now.”

Thank you for checking this out, I’d love to hear what you think of my list, and to see and hear what your lists are! Don’t forget to follow me, like this and retweet it!
