Top 5 Reads of Q1, 2024

I’ve read 12 books during this quarter, one of them being a re-read, amd three of them being advanced reader copies. Of those, 5… yes FIVE, FIVE STAR READS! So in honor of those, I felt the need to re-share those reviews and books with you, in hopes that you may find them interesting, and give them a shot yourself!

Now to the Top 5!

5.) The Sword of Jupiter (Imperium #1) by Travis Starnes

The Sword of Jupiter is such a fascinating take, because not only is it sci-fi, but also a historical story as well, but instead the old west, the pre-historic era or medieval England, Starnes takes us on a journey to an Ancient Rome where Carthage is the super power that has pushed Rome to the brink of annihilation.”

4.) Empire of Dirt (The Echoes Saga #2) by Philip C. Quaintrell

Quaintrell packs an absolute punch of a great story with was some incredible action that had me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what would happen next. There’s so much going on with how much he has expanded the world from book 1 and its history, learning more about the past, and what’s lead to this point, and a secret history.”

3.) Undead Samurai by Baptiste Pinson Wu

Undead Samurai is a history lesson and a beautiful story rolled into one. It’s an epic tale of terrifying action, but at its core is a tragically beautiful tale of honour and redemption.

2.) Relic of the Gods (The Echoes Saga #3) by Philip C. Quaintrell

“Quiantrell’s story-telling is fantastic and kept my eyes glued to each page, just fascinated by how each story-line started weaving into another with an incredible climax. I have to say, even though this is only part of a bigger series, this was one of, if not the best, finales I’ve read. Truly fantastic from start to finish.”

1.) A Lion’s Pride (The Drowned Kingdom #4) by P.L. Stuart

Each page tells an epic story of a world that’s not perfect and characters, who’s flaws are not hidden, but broadcasted, while showing that change is possible, even if it takes years to do it. Change is slow, but growth happens every day, and at the end of the day, that’s what PL’s story is about. Change.
