MY REVIEW
The Uncrowned King tournament has begun, and it gave me some Hunger Games vibes with how they have to compete to survive. There might be a better example of this by way of anime, but I don’t watch anime (I know, I’m sorry) so I can’t give you those examples. There are some truly incredible fights that happen throughout this book, it is the most action packed in the series so far.
“If it was about where you started, I would never have caught up to you. The only thing that matters is where you end up.” He returned to the scroll.
“And our paths don’t end with this tournament.”
Travis Baldree continues to do a fantastic job with his narration. The characters have continued to get so much better, although I do still feel like the side characters of Yerin, Little Blue, Dross, Eithan and others steal the show a bit more than Lindon, Lindon has definitely started to get better though. The only bad thing I can say is that the ending was a bit odd as it felt like a chapter ending rather than the book itself ending to keep the page count down to his comfortable setting of under 350ish.
