MY REVIEW

I don’t think I have to say his name anymore or how well he’s done with his narration, but Travis Baldree continues to bring so much life to these characters and world that I just blow through these books. I’ve said a few times that the side characters tend to outshine Lindon, but I’m starting to think that maybe it’s just the great narration from Baldree that causes it.

“I follow my Path,” Lindon said. “So I won’t be worthless anymore.”

I really enjoyed this story. I was expecting the story to bog down just a tad at some point, but Wight continues to write a story better than his last, just about every single time. The fight scenes were very intense and wonderful to read and listen to, every move and technique used just came to life in incredible ways. Lindon is slowly becoming a great character, as he ages, he has become a lot more likable as a character and his growth was been very exciting to watch. And that ending… oh Mr. Wight, that was a very good ending to lead into Uncrowned!
